Small Game

Upland Game Birds and Rabbit

Our small game packages are focused on the beautiful winter white Ptarmigan along with the familiar Spruce Grouse and the elusive Snowshoe Hare. We have the ability to utilize Labrador's vastness and endless miles of untouched wilderness for some of the most exciting and plentiful wing shooting and shot gunning for small game found anywhere. Our guests also have the opportunity to test their snaring skills against the Snowshoe Hare if one desires to put out a line of rabbit snares.

With such a wealthy abundance of small game, Labrador residents also participate in small game hunting by methods of snaring and shooting with and without the use of dogs with great success.

Small game harvesting is an important recreational and subsistence activity for Labradorians. As an example in peak years of Snowshoe Hare, government harvest reports have had numbers that are well into the thousands.

Our lengthy small game season gives our guests to the opportunity to schedule a trip throughout the fall and winter months or one can combine it with one of our big game packages.
