An ideal time to hunt for small game (Ptarmigan, Grouse, Snowshoe Hare, and arctic hare) would be during the Late winter, Early spring months. It would be an add on to the Winter Caribou hunt package, or we can book a small game package for you.
  You will find Ptarmigan in thickets of Alders and Willow trees. In winter the Ptarmigan is all white except for a few black feathers on its tail. Excellent game bird to hunt. It certainly would make a tasty meal while you are at the Lodge or to bring home (depending on customs regulations at the time).
